Jonathan Bowen is the Chair of BCS-FACS. He was formerly the Treasurer.

He is Emeritus Professor of Computing in the School of Engineering at London South Bank University since 2007. He is an Adjunction Professor at Southwest University, Chongqing, China, since 2016. He is also Chairman of Museophile Limited since 2002.

Bowen was deputy head of the Centre for Software Engineering at Birmingham City University, 2013-2015.
